Celebrate Tax - Free Weekend in Downtown Denton

August means Back to School and savings!  As you shop for supplies, or perhaps plan to reward yourself to lunch or dinner, head to Downtown Denton and celebrate the sales tax holiday!

Fashions in our Downtown boutiques will put you at the top of the class this year. With so many places to go for a new outfit, desk top accessory, stunning jewelry or maybe just an art or vintage piece that sets your classroom or dorm room, your purchases guarantee to set your style apart from the rest.

While not all items are tax- free, there are members offering special deals and sales you want to be sure to put on your list this weekend. Be sure to check out the BOGO Sale at Zig Zag Stripe, and other great apparel at la di da Boutique, JT Clothiers, Garden Gate, and The Palm Tree Boutique.

There's More Than Just Clothes...

Tax-free weekend specials aren’t only for clothing and supplies! All new students at The Ghost Note can enroll in a month of lessons and get $15 off.  Check them out, as well as other great shops for all musicians needs in downtown Denton.

And, all this shopping requires fuel, so be sure to visit one of the many restaurants for a hearty breakfast, including Hypnotic Donut’s special offer on a free water or soda with a purchase of a chicken biscuit August 11th to the 13th.  Stop in for lunch or dinner at The Juicy Pig, where you can get a free ice cream float with a purchase of half or whole Pig Plates between 3 pm and 8 pm.

Specials like these and others offered this weekend make dinner in downtown Denton extra special when you take a stroll around the square in the tree-lit twilight hours enjoying the last nights of summer.

Looking for entertainment before hitting the books? Book online for 1/2 off an escape room game at Escaping the Square - use the code, "Angel."
