Twilight Tunes is back
in May and june 2023!

The Denton Main Street Association is proud to present its 30th annual installment of our award-winning concert series in Downtown Denton.

Twilight Tunes will begin again on Thursday, May 4th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. There are plenty of places around to grab a bite to-go from any of the great dining places around downtown. This year is all open seating, so arrive early to get a great spot!

In the event of rain or inclement weather on the day of the concert, we will use our social media and website to communicate any important updates relating to the events of that evening. DMSA is excited to keep the Tunes going for everyone to enjoy. We're continuing the trend of bringing you more local music and ask that you read the information carefully and come prepared. 

The 2023 schedule and band lineup has been updated, but more details will be announced soon.

Sunday Wreckers

Bio: Putting a Texas twist on a variety of reimagined covers of popular tunes, Sunday Wreckers is an acoustic trip utilizing various instruments, including steel and nylon string acoustic guitars, twelve string, dobro, mandolin, and bouzouki as well as male and female vocals. Covering country, pop, and rock from various decades, Sunday Wrecks consists of Erik Herbst, Jill Herbst, and Chis Peake.

Bio: Suite Sensations is a four-piece band that formed with the idea of blending 3 musicians who love prog music and 1 pop rock songwriter. We mix jazz, piano rock, and a little prog licks to give the listeners something exciting to listen to.

Flip and the Combined Effort

Bio: Flip and The Combined Effort are a 7-piece ska-punk / hip-hop band from Arlington, TX. They strive to combine their love of both ska-punk bands like Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto & hip-hop acts such as Lin-Manuel Miranda and Watsky, all while putting on a sincere, energetic, and heartfelt performance every chance they get. With a live show that includes folk dancing, sing alongs, and a frontman that can’t stand still, Flip always leaves people smiling ear to ear.

Lasting Effect

Bio: Lasting Effect is a pop punk / rock band from Rockwall, Texas that originated in the fall of 2010. They began by competing in various Battle of the Bands events at high schools and won various competitions in cities such as Rowlett, Rockwall, Royse City, and more. Shortly after, the band progressed into the Dallas scene where they started playing at well-known venues such as Poor David’s Pub, The Curtain Club, The Door, and the Prophet Bar. Lasting Effect has also performed at significant events and festivals such as Real Texas Festival, Wildflower Festival, Irving Texas Marathon, Neiman Marcus Christmas Event, and many more. Their goal with music is to connect with fans and create a memorable emotional experience for each listener.

Presenting ($1,250) Your company logo on all print, social media, website print ads, and the banner at the event, including the Running Boards Marketing digital truck display at each concert. Presenting sponsors can set up to promote or sell (no alcohol) at any concert with a booth. Your company gets your name recognition in announcements and each concert of the season.

Feature
($450) As a member, your business gets a table at one concert of your choice (date is selected at time of sponsorship commitment); you can sell (no alcohol) or promote from a booth/table at that event; your company gets listed on the website with a link to their website on the concert/ date you sponsor. You can also come out to introduce the sponsor at your sponsored concert and you can say a few words about your business.

PARKING UPDATE for Tunes parking: 

The former City lot at Mulberry Street behind 215 Hickory Street (the old DATCU Administration Bldg) is NO LONGER a public lot. Additional FREE public parking on the night of Twilight Tunes will be available at the NCTC downtown campus parking garage. Please enter the parking garage from the Mulberry Street side (behind the NCTC campus building), where you will be given a parking pass. Please enter BY 7 pm and the pass will expire at 11:59pm on the same night. For more downtown parking options, please check out this page
