At Denton Main Street Association, we work hard year-round to provide events that bring our members, fellow local businesses, and the community together under one "roof," even if only for a few hours. Step into Downtown Denton's backyard and check out one of these incredible annual events! Each one is curated to fit the season, with shopping or entertainment that's perfect for everyone in the family. Grab a lawn chair, your go-to Wassail cup, or bucket of chalk and get ready to make memories with us.

As the premier Auto Show for the past 20 Years the Denton Main Street Association is dedicated to ensure that even with the changing world we have a safe way to support Downtown Denton as the cultural heart of our City. This year we are excited to announce that Arts & Autos this year will be shifting into gear for the first time ever with the first ever Arts and Autos Cruise! We will be cruising past local medical, nursing, children's, and assisted living centers around town, bringing the classic joy of cool rides to those in need. Have a sweet ride that you would like to show off? Join us in one of four cruise's around town throughout the fall.
Halloween Window Decorating Contest and more activities for general public to enjoy can be found on the Arts & Autos Cruise page.
Our Past Arts & Autos
During past Arts & Autos events, approximately 10,000 attendees check out hot rods, classic and custom cars, trucks and even motorcycles! We give out around 75+ trophies in car, truck and motorcycle classes. Plus, cash prizes for Best of Show winner in car, truck and motorcycle class.
We look forward to future Arts & Autos in 2021, where attendees will enjoy an array of activities throughout the day, including a silent auction inside the courthouse, fine arts/crafts vendors, hands-on arts/crafts and games, Chalk Fest and live music.
As always, it's a privilege and honor to provide this historic event to and with the help of our community.

Wassail Weekend is a 2-day tasting event. What is Wassail? Well, it's just a fussy old English word for hot cider. Some downtown merchants stir up their best recipe to give free tastings for all ages. They are competing for the public's love and approval of their Wassail and bragging rights, of course. It's all fun and a great time out with friends and family.
The Denton Main Street Association merchants first hosted a Wassail tasting event in 1999 with the intention of giving the attendees at the annual tree lighting a little something warm and yummy for the festivities. What started out as a small, friendly competition among merchants has now become one of the most anticipated holiday treats in Denton.
