Denton Main Street Association promotes all of downtown Denton as a destination for both visitors and residents. DMSA hosts and promotes downtown year-round through marketing efforts, promotional materials, social media, special events and festivals. Some of these events draw crowds of thousands to downtown Denton, offering great exposure and traffic to downtown businesses. The idea is that events attract potential customers, many of whom are not familiar with downtown or the variety of stores, restaurants and services located here. And they do come back!
Some of the special events that are merchant oriented include Spring and Holiday Open House weekends - a great opportunity to get involved in an affordable, cooperative promotion. The DMSA and its sponsors also present Thursday Twilight Tunes in May and June, as well as the Arts, Antiques & Autos Extravaganza in September. And, tasting the delcious wassail made by the merchants at Wassail Fest is a favorite for festival-goers during Denton's Holiday Lighting Festival.
