Special Offerings
Did you know East Side offers a FREE UNT Game Day Shuttle service and lots of specials every UNT football home game day?
The free shuttle picks up at East Side, goes to the UNT / DATCU Stadium (formerly Apogee), goes to Lucky Lou’s bar, and then back to East Side. It runs 2 hours before the game begins, and 1 hour after the game ends.
On earlier game days, East Side will be able to open early due to the food trucks out back who will be able to serve food. Drink specials will be available every home game day including Mean Green (green tea) shots and Hop & Sting Aluminum Cowboys.
NEW Updates & Features
East Side has made some awesome updates to the establishment that not only beautified the bar, but will also benefit both customers and staff.
They totally renovated their satellite bar into a "container bar," with a clean, sturdy and official look. It’s easier for staff to operate this bar and even has a beer cooler in back and dedicated dish pit for cleaning glasses. East Side will be able to serve customers outside with 10 taps (6 beers and 4 cocktails), a new frozen machine with a seasonal flavor, and two speed rails filled with liquors for well drinks. The container bar will be open Fridays and Saturdays, but when the weather gets nicer they may open on Thursdays and Sundays.
On the opposite side of the container bar (on the west side), they installed a brand new seating area on an elevated deck that provides extra shade for 25-30 people. They are currently working on getting custom furniture with comfortable seating in that area instead of picnic tables in the near future, with the idea in mind that the area can be rented out for special events (i.e. birthdays) that folks can enjoy. For special events they will be hosting like their anniversary party, that seating area will be moved off the stage to allow live music bands to play there.
They have a new neon sign for a fun photo op!
They installed double doors at the portal to go outside from the bar.
They’ve beefed up the electricity capabilities at the bar to allow for more fans outdoors on hot days and other purposes to enhance their entertainment space.
But it doesn’t stop there….
East Side will have more big updates to be announced soon to make your game day experience even better! Stay tuned.
Upcoming Events
Every month, East Side has something fun going on that is unique. But they also have monthly events that occur and customers love.
Other than their UNT Game Day specials, they will also be offering Dallas Cowboy game day specials.
They also have Pet of the Month contests! Bring your well-behaved fur family to the stage for customers to vote (using Milk Bones) on their favorite pet based on category. The winner gets a gift card to East Side and adorable merch for the pet.
East Side also participates and/or has fun things going on in conjunction with popular Denton events going on downtown, such as Day of the Dead Festival. They participate in tasting crawls and other events hosted by the Denton Main Street Association as active and long-time members.
Congrats to East Side on 10 successful years in business! We can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will hold.
