It’s the most wonderful time of the year in downtown Denton. Kick off the holiday season early, avoid the hustle and bustle of December and come enjoy the shops and restaurants in downtown Denton during the annual Holiday Open House Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 8th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9th from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., with some stores holding a "Sneak Peek" on Friday night, Nov. 7th. Stroll the streets of the square and beyond while checking out the specials in the 44 stores and restaurants that are participating in this event. Enjoy refreshments while you shop, door prize drawings at various stores, and a chance to give back by donating a new coat to a child in need over the weekend.
The downtown Denton Main Street Association merchants will help the local Coats For Kids Ride by collecting new coats to this charity who will give them to children in need. The new child-size coats may be dropped off at Beth Marie’s Ice Cream, Garden Gate, Serendipity on the Square, and Mellow Mushroom during the weekend of downtown Denton’s Holiday Open House, Nov. 8th and 9th. Come experience the magic of downtown Denton this holiday season. Wassail Fest is coming up on Dec. 5th during the annual Holiday Lighting Festival and there will be more Wassail tastings offered on Saturday, Dec. 6th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with some music around downtown and photo opps with Santa.
