Spring Break for most Texas schools and universities is right around the corner. If you're looking to save a little for next year and stick to a staycation this Spring holiday, look no further than right here in Downtown Denton.  Read on for fun, family-friendly activities to enjoy all week long with the help of our Denton Main Street Association members.

Explore your options! Three camp locations, registration by the day, and unique themes with daily field trips kids ❤! Hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

JR. GOLF ACADEMY SPRING BREAK CAMP

Taught by the best golf professionals in town at North Lakes Driving Range. This camp will teach kids, ages 6 and older, the fundamentals and techniques necessary for any golfer. The fee includes snacks, drinks, and a T-shirt.

SPRING BREAK CAMP - GREATER DENTON ARTS COUNCIL 

Creativity and spring are in bloom at the Greater Denton Arts Council! This year we will explore our emotions and how to portray them through drawing, painting, clay, music and dance. Campers will use our exhibitions and outdoor space as inspiration for their personally reflective artful creations. On the last day of camp, parents and friends are invited to view the collection of creative expressions produced throughout the week.

Ages 6-10
$150 Public; $140 Member

MAKE A ZINE WORKSHOP* - SCRAP DENTON

Take your collage skills to the next level and learn how to make a 'zine. Donna Joy will share paper collage techniques that include paint, colored pencils, stamps, pastels, and ephemera. Unleash your creativity on paper and personalize a story of your own making! Register here.

BEGINNING WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP - WILDFLOWER ART STUDIO 

March 16th, 2018 

It's the art of Watercolor... made Simple. Geared toward beginners, students will learn basic watercolor techniques. Plan to take home a frame-worthy work of (your own) art.

MARCH 12TH: DFW PUG RESCUE’S YAPPY HOUR - OAK ST. DRAFTHOUSE 

Join us for Yappy Hour with DFW Pug Rescue on March 12th from 6-10pm at Oak St. Drafthouse. 10% of all proceeds from the evening will go to DFW Pug Rescue to assist with the care of pugs in their rescue. A local baker will have special pup treats available for a small donation.

MARCH 15TH: A NIGHT OF HIP HOP AT THE ABBEY 

DTXDNB Entertainment & Off The Grid Records - A night of Hip Hop. Enjoy local hip hop artists alongside SXSW-bound artists in town for an evening of music, dancing, and fun. This show is free, but 21+.

MARCH 16TH: FRANK BUCK ZOO AT THE WELCOME CENTER 

Some friends from Frank Buck Zoo will be in the Discover DentonWelcome Center starting at 6:30 pm with a show and tell about the zoo animals! Head out and interact some neat animals, exhibits and hear all about them live on DentonRadio.com!

The Frank Buck Zoo, founded in 1954, was named Best Little Zoo in Texas! It attracts 85,000 visitors to Gainesville annually and is acredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA).

Like what you see and want to pay them a visit? The zoo is open daily except Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day. Current hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. RSVP here. 

MARCH 17TH: THIN LINE FEST PRESENTS AT ANDY'S BAR 

Catch an evening of local music presented by MSA member nonprofit Thin Line Fest at MSA member venue Andy's Bar. Doors are at 9 pm, available for 21+ guests only. RSVP here.
