Thank you for another successful Twilight Tunes

Another year of Twilight Tunes has come and gone and it was a great year! We want to thank everybody who has made this year’s series possible. This was Twilight Tunes 21st series and we couldn't’t be more excited about how it continues to grow.

Twilight Tunes is only possible with the help of our generous sponsors and donations. Our sponsors are the key to the success of Twilight Tunes success, so it’s only fitting to recognize them for all they do. Every Thursday before the band started to play you heard mentions of sponsoring businesses for each week of Twilight Tunes which included: Denton Record Chronicle, First United Bank, North Star Bank of Texas, Ben E. Keith Beverages, Beth Marie’s Ice Cream, First State Bank, University of North Texas Athletics, and Texas Woman's University with the support of a grant from the Greater Denton Arts Council, The Arts Guild of Denton,Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

There were also a feature sponsors each week, which included: The Abbey Inn, Cartwright’s Ranch House, Beth Marie’s Ice Cream, Dan’s Silver Leaf, Denton Community Market, Denton Community Theatre, DentonRadio.com, Jupiter House, McBride’s Music & Pawn, Mellow Mushroom, More Fun Comics & Games, with the support of Hutcherson Insurance. These sponsors are the reason we can have Twilight Tunes every Thursday night, and for that we are extremely grateful.

Of course the reason all of you go to Twilight Tunes is to hangout on the beautiful downtown Denton Square and listen to some great music. This year we have had some amazing bands playing a different genre every week. Every one of the bands that play at Twilight Tunes have a connection to Denton - they were either born here or moved to Denton as fast as they could. The bands that kept downtown full of music every Thursday included: Lydia Low, Los Patos Poderosos, The Bird Dogs, The Poor Kings, Jeff Glover, Joe Pat Hennen, & Bryan Houser, A Taste of Herb – Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Tribute Band, High School Caesar, Chris Watson, Gravity Feed, Bonnie & Nick Norris Band, Bone Doggie and the HSH Band, and the JR Byrd Band!

Just because the Twilight Tunes series is ending doesn’t mean that all the fun of the square is ending. The next big event is Arts, Antiques and Autos on September 13th, so stay "tuned" to on all the downtown happenings through this blog and all of our social media pages!
