While there are still more fun events to come this fall and winter, we certainly want to take time out to say thanks to the sponsors for the Denton Main Street Association's 16th annual Arts, Antiques & Autos that was held Saturday, September 12th in 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the square and beyond. This event had record year!
This event featured a hot rod, classic and custom car, truck and motorcycle with multiple car, truck and motorcycle classes and great trophies! Cash prizes and awesome art trophies were given for Best of Show winner in car, truck and motorcycle class.
Festival-goers enjoyed an array of activities throughout the day, including arts/crafts vendors, hands-on arts/crafts and games, Chalk Fest, festival foods, live music and "Attic Treasure" appraisals. And, checked out all the cool shops around downtown.
This year the Chalk Fest had some fantastic chalk drawings to add spark and life to the sidewalks downtown at W. Oak near the corners of Cedar and Elm streets. Artists of all ages contributed to a fantastic display to stroll through during the event and for days after the fun.
Antique appraisers provided information on family treasures and heirlooms. Appraisers and dealers specialized in general antiques, art, and jewelry.
Live Music was on the lawn all day entertaining crowds starting at 10 a.m. with Joe Pat Hennan and Jeff Glover - Texas Singers/Songwriters, followed by Woody's Rampage playing rock and blues, and the day ended with High School Ceasar.
