Congratulations to the "Wassail Winners Court" in this year's 16th Annual Wassail Fest that was held Dec. 5 & 6. The public made their choice and it was close! The overall Wassail Fest winner, or Queen of Wassail Fest, was Kelsey at First People's Jewelers. The Lord of Wassail was Lone Star Attitude Burger Company and the Duke was Atomic Candy.
There were 40 Wassail Stops during this year's Wassail Fest, which expanded to two days for the first time. Merchants offered FREE tastings on Friday night during Denton Holiday Lighting Festival and during the extended hours on Saturday afternoon. Attendees sipped and strolled as they tasted their favorite Wassail recipes and tried new ones along the way. Families and friends came out together and made their way around the square and beyond to compare notes and vote for their favorite Wassail.
On Saturday Wassail Fest activities offered a visit and photo opp with Santa and his camper"Bonnie", which was courtesy of Denton Design Company, as well as shopping, dining, and musicians and choral groups in various locations around downtown entertaining crowds with the sounds of the season.
