Welcome to Downtown Denton this Fall

As the Fall season is officially upon us this weekend, it is time to welcome all the visitors who are here for the numerous events in downtown this weekend.  Be sure to welcome folks coming to visit students at the University of North Texas for Family Weekend and the game on Saturday, Sept. 20th at Apogee Stadium.  Visitors will fill the stores, restaurants and hotels as they visit downtown Denton and the campus to get to know the heart of Denton.  Catch the game and downtown shuttle information at www.discoverdenton.com.

Blues Fest fans will be filling Quakertown Park for some great live music, food, vendors and fun on Saturday, Sept. 20th and Sunday, Sept. 21st! Don't miss the Pops Carter Public Art dedication at Noon in the amphiteatre area of the north end of the park.  The line up of bands and information can be found on www.dentonbluesfestival.org.

Oaktopia is back with live music performed by an array of bands in venues all over downtown, including the courthouse lawn and other establishments. The event starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20th.  Check out details at www.oaktopiafest.com.
