Offering Curbside Pickup

Are you local to Denton and are looking to order online for same-day pickup? Downtown Denton is fully equipped to offer curbside pickup services that are quick and easy to use. In just a few steps, you'll have products ordered in the morning and in your possession by that afternoon, or as late as the next day.

How It Works

  • Order your preferred product through the virtual marketplace.
  • At checkout, select ''local pickup'' as your preferred shipping option.
  • Once you've received confirmation that your order is ready, head to the curbside pickup parking spot closest to your store's physical location.
  • Call the number included in your order confirmations, alert the staff member of your curbside pickup parking number (i.e. Space 12, as pictured here) and wait for your purchase to be delivered to your door.

Why Shop Local? The Facts

We could spend all day talking about why you should shop local, but the facts speak for themselves. When you shop local, you help keep your community thriving, which keeps everyone happy. Check out a few interesting facts from our friends at City of Denton below.

  • Only one in six adults purchases locally available products and services. If just half the Denton population spent $50 each month in Denton's independently owned stores, their purchases would generate more than $6.5 million dollars per year in sales.
  • Each time you spend money on dining, retail, or entertainment, you are charged an 8.25 percent sales tax. A portion of that sales tax goes to the city in which you buy the goods or services. When you shop in Denton, you support our city services such as the police and fire departments, streets, libraries, and parks.

It All Began With American Express

Back in 2012, American Express launched Small Business Saturday® in an effort to support local shops that make our communities strong. Shop Small takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving of every year — to encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses.

This year, we’re taking the spirit of Shop Small Saturday and celebrating it all shopping season long! This holiday season, keep your dollars and your driving distances local by shopping small in Downtown Denton. Our local merchants are fully stocked with an array of unique, beautiful products fit for every member of the family. Keep our local economy and community strong with every dollar spent here in town.

When you spend a $1 locally, your dollar carries across our community in the following ways. Let’s keep the trend going this holiday season!

Shop Small takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving of every year — to encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses. In 2011, the Senate unanimously passed a resolution in support of the day. Today, all 50 states participate in this incredible day of opportunity to strengthen local and national economy.

As shopping small catches on in communities everywhere, Small Business Saturday continues to evolve from from a cause to a day of community celebration. 90% of consumers surveyed said Small Business Saturday has had a positive impact on their community. Because a visit to the family-owned framing shop or a stop at the neighborhood taco truck not only supports our local economies, it promotes more vibrant communities.

See below for more information and selfie contest details.

This year, we would like to say thanks to the City of Denton Economic Development, STOKE and the Denton Chamber of Commerce for partnering with us this year on Shop Small Saturday promotions. A website with valuable small business tips, tools and resources has been prepared for small businesses in Denton, including "How To" videos and information for getting your business online and E-commerce. We are fortunate to have a resourceful community of entrepreneurs who shared their insights, talents and best advice to help businesses succeed. Check out this City of Denton business resource page for more info and collection of business tips and resources.

We know our community truly loves and cherishes the businesses and owners we are blessed to have, why not extend that love and care all the way through the holiday shopping season?
