Painting downtown this weekend starts with First Friday on November 2nd during First Friday, a monthly art event hosted by galleries in downtown. Galleries typically open at 7 p.m. and have live music, artists' shows, and art demonstrations every first Friday of the month.  Oxide Gallery, 211 N. Cedar,  will be celebrating Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) this Friday night during First Friday.  So, come out to the Cedar and West Oak Street area art galleries Friday for some art and fun.  Visit www.firstfridaydenton.com for details of events and participating galleries and restaurants in First Friday.

Get ready, set, shop! Come downtown for Holiday Open House weekend in downtown Denton on November 10th and 11th. There are 28 stores and restaurants featuring holiday merchandise, special offers, refreshments and a festive atmosphere.
