Recap: Downtown Denton Wassail Weekend 2016
We had an excellent time during Wassail Weekend and Denton Holiday Lighting Festival this year. Despite the rainy forecast, it was clear that our community wasn't quite ready to give up on one of our favorite Denton holiday weekends of the year. Downtown merchants offer 12 Days of Christmas and After-Hours Holiday Shopping
Downtown Denton merchants have some specials in store for the Twelve Days of Christmas promotion starting today through December 24th. Each day participating merchants will offer some kind of discount or a special item counting down to Christmas. It's a new year and it's a time for new beginnings. With each new beginning, something comes to an end. In downtown Denton, a new beginning will happen for one business as another longtime shop closes its doors. Weldon's Saddle Shop has been an iconic establishment in downtown Denton, Texas at the corner of Bell and Oak since 1957. Owner, Weldon Burgoon, retires this weekend. Mix It Up: MSA Announces Outstanding Biz Volunteer, Arts Walk of Fame Inductees at Membership Mixer
Tonight's MSA Membership Mixer was one for the books as board members took time this evening to recognize a group of individuals who have an impact on Denton and the Downtown area, respectively. These individuals are the 2017 Inductees for the Arts Walk of Fame, and Outstanding Business Volunteer of the Year.
These artists, businesses and volunteers contribute to Denton’s reputation as an eclectic haven to live, work and visit. It only seemed fitting to dedicate the first mixer of the year on their accomplishments and contributions.

While the Fall season officially started last week, this week truly kicks off Fall "downtown Denton style." There is something every weekend in downtown Denton with music, festival fun, food, entertainment and more. All this in addition to the plethora of shopping, dining and arts and cultural entertainment destinations that are on the square and literally around every corner and beyond every day of the week.
